2026 Annual Membership Luncheon

Our 2026 Annual Luncheon activities kick off with a command performance by world-class storyteller Dr. Sonny Kelly and recognition of the Creativity Contest winners.

Our featured speaker this year will be Dr. Sonny Kelly, instructor of Communication at Fayetteville Technical Community College. He is known for his one-man shows, including a performance as James Lafayette during last September’s Lafayette Birthday celebration. Dr. Kelly will bring his storytelling skills to our luncheon this year as he examines Lafayette’s passionate advocacy for the abolition of slavery, and how this legacy can empower and inspire not only people of African descent but also all of us to create a more just society.
